There are several signs to know when your Free TV subscription have expired.

Dish Free TV was introduced in 2019/20 and is receivable in all States in Nigeria, including L.G. A and villages.

Free TV Satellite version has no coverage barrier like the Antenna version. You can also watch Free TV dish in any village in Nigeria.

This is because it uses satellite signal unlike the Antenna type that uses coverage signal.

Free TV antenna version is currently available in six States of the federation; Abuja, Plateau, Kaduna, Kwara, Enugu and Osun.


FREE TV has 1.28 Million subscribers as of the time of writing this post, 27 channels, 6 Cities covered and 320,000 active subscribers.

These Channels Comprise of Local, Regional, And Free-to-Air Channels Which may differ in Number for location to location.

Because in Jos, Plateau State, we have just two TV channels, that are currently receivable on Free TV these are NTA Jos and PRTV Jos.

Others State might have more local TV channels.

Signs of Expired Subscription

1. Expiring Subscription Days Count Down

This is the normal sign of Free TV subscription expiring notice. This usually happens when your Free TV subscription is remaining about a month to expire.

Your subscription will automatically begin to count down the remaining days. When you see this particular sign on your TV screen you can go for recharging.

Let me point this out, there is an assumption that you can not recharge your digital box with existing subscription until the subscription finally expire.


That is not true. You can recharge your Free TV subscription anytime and your subscription will be updated automatically.

When you see error code 200 – Your Device is Suspended on your TV screen. Certainly it means your Free TV have expired. It normally happen suddenly without any prior notice.

One important thing with this error code service suspended, is that, the local TV channels of the State you are residing will be working plus NTA News 24 and NTA Sports.

When you experience this particular problem, the next thing to do, to confirm that your Digital TV Pass have expired.

Is to, press MENU on your Free TV remote, then SETTINGS and locate DIGITAL TV PASS check the Date, Month and Year that your box will expire.

If your Free TV decode box subscription expiring date is less than or equal to three months, it means your box subscription have expired.

If that is your case, go for recharging. But if your DIGITAL TV PASS subscription expiring date is greater than three month, I mean four month above, then you can Restore Access to Lost TV Channels.
