How to Update WordPress Post and Page Permalinks

Permalinks are the permanent URLs to your individual pages, blog posts, as well as your category and tag archives. A permalink is the web address that is used to link your wordpress site contents.

The URL to each post should be permanent, and never change — hence the name permalink. Permalinks is simply mapping your domain name to your post, page, category as well as your tags.
