Edo Facebook Developer Circle
Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki provide support for a young growing community of developers in Benin City, on a tech platform called Facebook Developer Circle.
The platform has beeb launched at the Edo Innovation Hub, to serve as community for tech actors in the state’s community of developers to strengthen digital technology.
Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Skills Acquisition and Jobs Creation, Mrs. Ukinebo Dare; Executive Director, FATE Foundation, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, with entrepreneurs during the Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme organised by FATE Foundation and Facebook, at the Edo Innovation Hub, in Benin City.

Head, Edo State Skills Development Agency, Mrs. Ukinebo Dare, in a chat with journalists, said that the Facebook Developer Circles would serve as support system for developers in Benin City and South South geopolitical zone, adding that the growing number of developers in the state need such a platform to better respond to challenges in their immediate environment.
The Facebook Developer Circle is a community-driven program that is free and open to any developer.
It is led and manage by members of the local community who act as leaders for the circle, scheduling and organizing events offline and managing a local online Facebook community.

Online forum called Developer Circles are platforms to share knowledge, collaborate, build new ideas and to learn the latest technologies from Facebook, Open Source Apps and other industry leaders.
